YÖK ve sektör işbirliği ile üniversite sınavında yüksek başarıya sahip ve ilk 5 tercihinde cevher hazırlama mühendisliği bölümünü yazan öğrencilere İstanbul Maden İhracatçıları Birliği (İMİB) tarafından asgari ücret (2825 TL/ay) tutarında burs verilecektir. Burs oranları daha sonra ilan edilecektir.

Cevher hazırlama mühendisliği programını başarıyla tamamlayan ve eğitim bursu alan öğrencilere madencilik sektöründe faaliyet gösteren firmalarda iş verilmesine yardımcı olunacaktır.

The Mineral Processing Engineering education at the Istanbul Technical University has started as a division of the "Mining Engineering Department" which was formed as a part of the Mining Faculty in 1953. The division was re-organized as a department of the same faculty in 2007, in order to meet the requirements of engineering education.
