Higher Education Council (HEC) President Dr. Yekta Saraç announced that if the students who entered the first 50 thousand in the university exam as of 2020-2021 academic year prefer mining, geology and ore preparation engineering, they will earn a scholarship by the Istanbul Mining Exporters Association (İMİB), and they will facilitate their employment. Higher Education Council (HEC) President Dr. Yekta Saraç said the following about who can benefit from this right: "As a result of our cooperation, the students who enter the top 50 thousand in the university exam and choose and settle at least one of these departments in their top 5 preferences, are equal to the monthly net minimum wage amount, half of the net minimum wage amount to those who are between 50 thousand and 65 thousand. Those who are between 80 thousand will be granted a free scholarship by one third of the net minimum wage by IMIB. The amount of scholarship 2020-2021 academic year from the start to be given, Turkey Exporters Assembly in accordance with the Mining Sector Board's decision will be updated at the beginning of each year. Receiving scholarships from other institutions and organizations will not be an obstacle to this training scholarship."
