Our esteemed professor Prof. Dr. Güven Önal, one of the founders of our department, passed away.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of our esteemed professor Prof. Dr. Güven ÖNAL today. As his students, we will always be honored by his wisdom and teachings.
His brilliant mind will continue to be a source of inspiration for us. The wisdom that is his legacy will live on in us and will be passed on to future generations.
At this difficult time, we extend our condolences and patience to the family, relatives and loved ones of Mr. Güven. We hope that they find strength in his memory and keep his love and teachings alive within them.
We are grateful to Güven and will miss him forever. May his soul rest in peace.
Our esteemed teacher will be sent off to his last journey on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Following the memorial ceremony to be held at ITU Ayazaga Campus Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center at 11:00 am, he will be buried in Çengelköy cemetery following the noon prayer at Levent Afet Yolal Mosque.
